Dr. Mahmood is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon who specializes in arthroscopic surgery, hand and upper extremity surgery, orthopedic surgery and sports medicine. His most common procedures are carpal tunnel release, trigger finger release, shoulder replacement, wrist/hand fractures, thumb arthritis and thumb basal joint arthroplasty.
Dr. Mahmood became an orthopedic surgeon because he is fascinated by complex anatomy in a small space.

Dr. Mahmood treated me for a lump on my arm. Everyone thought it was a cyst. He said it was a lypoma. He sent me for an MRI. I haven't finished this treatment, but I can say that he is very professional and courteous. He is another member of a great team of doctors.

My visit to Dr. Mahmood was smooth sailing. The wait time in the lobby was less than 10 minutes. Dr Mahmood and his PA were very friendly, professional and informative. Couldn't ask for a better visit

Dr. Mahmood from The Orthopaedic Institute (TOI) performed the surgery to straighten my finger which had curled in toward my palm due to Dupuytren's Contracture. The Orthopedic Institute has the most wonderful doctors. Dr Mahmood is a very personable and caring man. He is a great listener and never makes you feel rushed during your appointment.
