Biography
Dr. Liu is a board-certified Sports Medicine along with Family Practice and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine. He graduated with honors from Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine and was inducted into Sigma Sigma Phi in 2012. Dr. Liu completed his internship and residency at Rowan University, followed by a fellowship in sports medicine at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine.
An avid sports enthusiast from a young age, Dr. Liu's own sports injuries sparked his interest in sports medicine. He adopts a holistic approach to patient care, emphasizing the importance of treating both the physical and mental well-being of his patients.
Dr. Liu has extensive experience working with athletes at all levels, including professionals in the NBA and NFL, as well as participants in local marathons. He has served as a Team Physician for the Florida Tropics SC soccer club, the Erie BayHawks (an NBA New Orleans Pelicans affiliate), and NCAA Division I Mercyhurst University Athletics. He has also served as an adjunct professor at Mercyhurst University's Department of Athletic Training and as a visiting physician at the NFL Cleveland Browns Training Camp.
His clinical expertise is not limited to musculoskeletal injuries but also encompasses a comprehensive approach to managing all sports-related conditions and needs across all age groups, including sports dermatology, concussion management, and physical evaluations.
Outside of his professional life, Dr. Liu is active in running, bicycling, and playing baseball. He also enjoys traveling, exploring culinary delights, and spending time with his family.
