Dr. Altbuch is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon who specializes in arthroscopic surgery, joint replacement surgery, orthopedic surgery, and sports medicine. His most common procedures are shoulder surgery for rotator cuff repair and shoulder, hip, and knee replacements.
He also regularly performs knee surgery for ACL reconstruction as well as meniscus and cartilage repair.
Dr. Altbuch became an orthopedic surgeon because he enjoys taking care of active and athletic individuals of all different ages.
What sets him apart is his compassion, attention to detail, and meticulousness. He also treats a broad spectrum of musculoskeletal problems.
Outside of orthopedics, Dr. Altbuch enjoys spending time with his family, fishing, golfing, and playing guitar.

Jesse D. Sutcliffe, PA-C
Jesse is a nationally certified and state-licensed Physician Assistant serving alongside Tristan A. Altbuch, MD. Born and raised in South Florida, Jesse brings his robust understanding of Kinesiology and Physician Assistant studies to aid in providing comprehensive orthopedic care.
Jesse graduated Cum Laude from the University of Central Florida, College of Health Professions and Sciences in 2019, earning his Bachelor's in Kinesiology. Furthering his commitment to the healthcare profession, he graduated from the University of Florida, College of Medicine, with a Master's in Physician Assistant Studies in 2022. His passion for orthopedics was nurtured while training at UF Health before his graduation.
Before enrolling in PA school, Jesse amassed diverse clinical experiences as a medical scribe and medical assistant in neurology, pediatric urgent care, and family medicine. These roles have equipped him with a broad understanding of patient care and empathy, crucial for his current role working alongside Dr. Altbuch.
In addition to his clinical roles, Jesse also has a solid educational background. He was a lecturer at the University of Central Florida, where he taught anatomy and microbiology. His academic experience extends beyond instruction; he served as Vice President and Education Chair for the Association of Pre-Physician Assistants, highlighting his dedication to mentoring the next generation of medical professionals.
When not serving patients, Jesse’s roots in South Florida draw him to the outdoors, enjoying camping, fishing, and the tranquility of the beach. His personal interests, combined with his clinical acumen and commitment to patients' well-being, make him an integral part of Dr. Altbuch’s team.
Allison Meaders
Allison Meaders, Staff Assistant, has worked at TOI for over 20 years in a variety of roles. She now works alongside Dr. Altbuch and his patients, scheduling surgeries, gathering insurance, coordinating with different departments and making sure patients are happy. In her role, she is dedicated to delivering high-quality patient care.
During her years at TOI, Allison has worked with nearly all the doctors at her location. She had a role as Med Tech for some years and then as a Staff Assistant Float, which allowed her to float between departments and get to know different physicians.
Allison was born and raised in Gainesville and is a huge Gator fan. She lives on a lake and loves to paddleboard, swim in the ocean and be in the sun. She also loves being outside riding her bike.
